{"id":270,"date":"2013-10-07T04:02:38","date_gmt":"2013-10-07T04:02:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/facebooklet.ca\/blog2\/?p=270"},"modified":"2018-06-14T21:10:19","modified_gmt":"2018-06-14T21:10:19","slug":"the-blacklist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/facebooklet.ca\/blog2\/the-blacklist\/","title":{"rendered":"The Blacklist"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>NBC&#8217;s <em>The Blacklist<\/em> is a gem.<\/h1>\n<p>The other day I asked someone if they&#8217;d watched <em>The Blacklist<\/em>.\u00a0 &#8220;No,&#8221; they replied:\u00a0 &#8220;I don&#8217;t watch much TV.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Believe it or not, I don&#8217;t think that <em>I<\/em> do, either.\u00a0 However, I have shows I like.\u00a0 <em>Elementary,<\/em> for instance, returned a couple of weeks ago to my delight.\u00a0 N<em><\/em>ow I also like <em>The<\/em> <em>Blacklist<\/em>, having seen its first two episodes.<em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Blacklist<\/em> begins with a famous wanted man&#8217;s walking into FBI headquarters and surrendering.\u00a0 The wanted man &#8211; whose name is Reddington &#8211; immediately starts giving his conditions of cooperation.\u00a0 His ability to tell the FBI facts they want to know confirms his value to them.\u00a0 Therefore, they decide they must cooperate.\u00a0 Each agent shows his or her unique brand of distaste for Reddington.\u00a0 Reddington loves being hated by them &#8211; and gives it right back with a smile.<\/p>\n<p>Reddington&#8217;s motive for surrendering to the FBI is dubious, but seems to be control.\u00a0 &#8220;The FBI works for me now,&#8221; he casually states in the second episode.\u00a0 He suggests that he, himself, wants to take down high-value criminals for his own reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s James Spader as Reddington.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/..\/jspader.png\" alt=\"James Spader as Raymond Reddington\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NBC&#8217;s The Blacklist is a gem.
